Baylor 62 vs. Texas Tech 65 POSTGAME SHOW & Takeaways

Call in: 254-339-1122

Good

• Came ready to play, jumped on them early 31-16
• Outrebounded the Red Raiders 35-31
• Got to the line more than Texas Tech (13-7 in attempts)
• 8-4 on made 3 pointers
• 5 assists and 1 turnover for Akinjo is good

Disappointing

• Lack of defensive intensity, Tech is offensively challenged and has trouble scoring.  Baylor allows them to get to 60 first on a simple drive and dunk by Adonis Arms.  Texas Tech scores on 4 of their last 5 possessions on Baylor’s home court
• Lack of ball movement on offense, too stagnant after building the 15 point lead
• This has been building the last 4 games.  Baylor has played well enough to win but not with the same urgency as they played with in the Bahamas or against Villanova.
• Missing free throws Flagler and Mayer 1-6
• Turnovers from Flagler, Brown and Cryer (9).  Indecisive with the ball.
