Baylor lands Cy Ranch four-star linebacker Christian Brathwaite

Baylor has made recruiting inroads at Cy Ranch High School with current Bears Drake Dabney‍, Romario Noel‍ and 2022 signee Bryce Simpson‍. On Sunday, during Junior Day Weekend of Champions, Christian Brathwaite‍ (6’2, 225) made the decision to join his former and future teamates. He becomes commit No. 8 in the 2023 class and the first linebacker.

“It’s home,” he said. “I step on campus and it feels like I already go there.”

The four-star prospect missed a large part of his junior season due to injury but as a sophomore he finished as a Texas District 16-6A first-team selection.

The Baylor staff was the first to offer him back in January of 2021 and kept a very strong relationship with him throughout the process.

He committed to Baylor over offers from Tennessee, Colorado, Texas Tech, Cal, and others.
