Positives

  • This staff has done an unbelievable coaching job this year.  To be 22-5 and #4 in KenPom dealing with the types of injury issues that they have had to deal with, is incredible.
  • Tremendous defense.  The Bears led 70-49 with 4 minutes left before the Horned Frogs went on a 13-2 run to close the game.
  • James Akinjo with a tremendous all around game- dominated on both sides of the ball.  Not the best shooting day for him but he controlled the game.  8 assists and 1 turnover.
  • Front court was outstanding, 56 points, 24 rebounds and 8 assists between Thamba, Mayer, Sochan and Brown.
  • Great job getting to the foul line over and over again, 29 free throws to 11 for TCU.

Needs Work

  • Better shooting efficiency from the outside 2-11 from 3.
  • Dale Bonner played great defensively, he had some bad turnovers offensively.  Still love what he brings to the team.
  • Didn’t matter in the end but hate to see a 13-2 run at the end of the game.  Need to close games well.

Yeah, that was difficult to watch them nearly let TCU back in. I wonder how much fatigue factored in. We basically went with a six man rotation but still managed to defend very well.

Looks like our legs may have given out as TCU kept getting off boards.

Still, great effort and teamwork. We had some great passes today.

KB scored a bunch off easy dunks facilitated by great passes and screens

Thanks for this. It provides a great perspective that is often lost.
