When Tyquan Thornton gave his commitment to Baylor the first time, he was a little known prospect out of a Miami, Florida, a city and a state that regularly produced high end talent.

The tall and skinny speedster had offers from around the country on the track, but on March 29, 2017, the Bears football recruiting victory came over only Appalachian State. Not Miami or Florida or Florida State. Not even UCF or USF.
