71 Days till Kickoff: Baylor Beats Iowa State 71-7 in 2013

Baylor’s largest margin of victory in a Big 12 game came against Iowa State in 2013, where the Bears demolished the Cyclones 71-7.
Two weeks after hanging 73 points on West Virginia, the No. 12 Bears (6-0) welcomed Iowa State (1-5) to Waco.
Baylor entered the game averaging 70.5 points in four home games. They also had their nation-leading 33rd straight game of at least 400 yards before finishing against Iowa State with 714 – their fourth 700-yard game in the last 7 contests.
The No. 12 Bears came out on fire with a big gain on a backward pass from Bryce Petty to Levi Norwood, who then hit Jay Lee for 41-yards. Petty connected with Antwan Goodley for a 4-yard touchdown to put the Bears on the board first, 7-0.
The offense continued to roll and put up 17 in the first quarter, 20 in the second, and 14 in the third. The Bears led 37-0 at halftime. Meanwhile, the defense held a shutout until the Cyclones scored with 47 seconds left in the fourth quarter.
The Bears finished the game with a final score of 71-7. It was the largest margin of victory in a conference game in program history for Baylor.
Petty finished 23-31 for 343 yards and two passing touchdowns. Lache Seastrunk added 112 yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries. Antwan Goodley and Tevin Reece combined for 287 yards and two touchdowns on 17 receptions.
