Baylor Women's Basketball Announces 2022-23 Non-conference Slate

WACO, Texas – The Baylor women’s basketball team announced its non-conference schedule for the 2022-23 season on Friday. The slate is highlighted by a home contest against Maryland, a trip to Estero, Fla., for the Gulf Coast Showcase and a matchup against Arizona in Dallas in December.

The Bears will host an exhibition against Southwest Baptist on Nov. 3.

Baylor officially tips off the new season with the home opener against Lamar on Monday, Nov. 7. The Bears then host Incarnate Word (Thursday, Nov. 10) and SMU (Tuesday, Nov. 15) before taking on Maryland at the Ferrell Center on Sunday, Nov. 20.

BU hits the road for the Gulf Coast Showcase in Estero, Fla., Nov. 25-27. A trio of home games await the Bears back at the Ferrell Center in early December against Houston Baptist (Sunday, Dec. 4), UT Arlington (either Tuesday, Dec. 6 or Wednesday, Dec. 7) and Tennessee State on Thursday, Dec. 15. The UT Arlington date will be determined at a later date.

The women’s basketball team will play the first of a Baylor hoops doubleheader in Dallas with a 6:30 p.m. contest against Arizona on Sunday, Dec. 18, at 6:30 p.m. The Bears wrap up non-conference action against Long Beach State at home on Wednesday, Dec. 21.

Season tickets are on sale for Baylor women’s basketball.

This is a tradition I wish CNC would kill. We can't count on the B12 being exceptional. We need to play a few quality games to make sure we have the resume for a good seed.

Not to mention that the mismatches are just boring.

We do play Maryland, Arizona, and most likely Michigan.
