As Baylor took to the hardwood on Monday for the first official practice of the 2022-23 season there were a lot of new faces, but the championship mindset still remained. Despite the departure of NaLyssa Smith, Queen Egbo, and Jordan Lewis to the WNBA, the Bears have a lot of talent returning this season.

Second-year head coach Nicki Collen and her staff bulked up their roster during the off-season with help from the transfer portal to counter the depth issues of last season.
