WACO, Texas – The Big 12 Conference office released the 2026-27 league schedule Thursday morning, with the Bears opening conference play on the road at Houston before closing the slate at home against TCU on the final day of the regular season.
The Bears have a short trip for their lone conference game ahead of an eight-day holiday break, facing cross-state foe Houston on Monday, Dec. 21, at Fertitta Center as they look to continue a seven-game winning streak against the Coogs. After the break, the Bears return home to host Texas Tech, one of three schools Baylor will play both home and away this season, on Wednesday, Dec. 30.
Kicking off 2027, Baylor heads to Boulder to face Colorado at the CU Events Center on Saturday, Jan. 2, after splitting regular-season and postseason contests with the Buffaloes last year. The Bears then return home to face BYU on Wednesday, Jan. 6, for the sixth all-time meeting between the teams and the third since they became conference rivals.
Back-to-back road games follow, beginning in Lawrence, Kan., against Kansas at historic Allen Fieldhouse on Saturday, Jan. 9. A little closer to home, Baylor faces TCU for the first of two meetings this season on Thursday, Jan. 14, at Schollmaier Arena in Fort Worth.
West Virginia comes to Waco on Sunday, Jan. 17, for the 31st all-time matchup between the schools before Baylor closes out the season series with Texas Tech on Wednesday, Jan. 20, in Lubbock for the 107th all-time meeting.
Three straight home Big 12 games are next for Baylor, just the second three-game conference homestand of the Nicki Collen era, joining one in 2022, and only the third for the program since 2013. Baylor hosts Utah on Saturday, Jan. 23, Iowa State on Jan. 30 and Cincinnati on Wednesday, Feb. 3.
February continues with the Bears' third trip to Orlando in as many years, facing UCF on Sunday, Feb. 7, before Baylor opens a 15-day stretch with two meetings against Kansas State, starting Wednesday, Feb. 10, in Waco.
Baylor is back on the road for a swing through the Grand Canyon State, facing Arizona on Saturday, Feb. 13, at McKale Center and Arizona State on Tuesday, Feb. 16, at Desert Financial Arena.
Oklahoma State visits Foster Pavilion on Sunday, Feb. 21, ahead of Baylor's final road trip of the regular season: the back half of that 15-day Kansas State series on Thursday, Feb. 25, in Manhattan, Kan.
In what has become must-watch Big 12 basketball, Baylor and TCU will close out the regular season against each other on Sunday, Feb. 28, at Foster Pavilion.
Game times and TV designations will be announced at a later date.
Baylor announced its non-conference schedule last week. It features the season opener at home against Fairleigh Dickinson on Monday, Nov. 2, ahead of high-caliber neutral-site games against Southern California at Intuit Dome in Los Angeles on Friday, Nov. 20, and against Tennessee at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on Friday, Dec. 18.
Season tickets for the 2026-27 season remain on sale, starting at $130 and guaranteeing fans the best deal to secure a seat inside Foster Pavilion, with the same seat locked in for the season. Single-game tickets will be dynamically priced, with prices adjusted in real time based on market demand and opponent, and will go on sale at a later date.
BU returns to the court in 2026-27 with the Big 12's third-leading scorer, Taliah Scott, who averaged 19.7 points per game, and fifth-year post Kyla Abraham. Also returning are Ines Goryanova, Ella Brown, Kayla Nelms and Marcayla Johnson. Baylor brought in six newcomers via the transfer portal: Kate Koval from LSU, Skylar Jones from Louisville, Reese Ross from Utah, Tianna Thompson from Ole Miss, Trinity Turner from Georgia and Lorena Awou, who enrolled last spring from NC State.
Baylor is coming off a 25-9 campaign in 2025-26, finishing third in the Big 12 while extending the nation's second-longest active streaks of 20-win seasons (26) and consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances (22). The Bears led the conference in blocks per game and 3-point percentage defense and ranked 14th nationally in field-goal percentage defense. Building on success, Baylor owns the most victories among Big 12 teams since Collen took the program's reins ahead of the 2021-22 season, while Collen ranks third among active major conference head coaches in wins through their first five seasons at their current school and fifth in winning percentage in that same category.
