Baylor’s defense had a few bright spots this year but overall really struggled. Their zenith was against Texas Tech where the DL was able to demolish a terrible Tech OL and the pass coverage confused Tech’s young running backs. But more often there were catastrophic collapses; starting against Texas State we saw Baylor’s zone coverages fail to play with awareness and could not tackle in space after the catch.
