WACO, Texas – Baylor baseball will have at least 46 games televised during the 2023 season, as announced Tuesday evening by the Big 12 Conference and ESPN.

The Bears’ April 21 contest at preseason No. 24 Texas Tech will be broadcast nationally on ESPNU, while an additional 38 regular-season games will air on Big 12 Now on ESPN+. BU’s road games will be carried by various other platforms, including ACCNX, ESPN+ and home websites of host teams.

Fans can also tune in all season long to ESPN Central Texas 1660 AM and 92.3 FM for the Baylor radio broadcast on the Baylor Sports Network from Learfield. Play-by-play announcer Derek Smith returns for his eighth season as the radio voice of Baylor baseball and will pair with color analysts Ryan Boyd and Max Calderone on select games throughout the season.

All dates, times and networks are subject to change.

First-year head coach Mitch Thompson leads a roster of 23 newcomers and 15 returners into the 2023 campaign which features 36 home games, including 18 of the first 21, at Baylor Ballpark. The Bears will play a combined 21 games against eight NCAA Tournament teams and face four conference champions from a year ago. Notably, 51% of BU’s 2023 schedule will feature opponents who finished the 2022 season with a top-75 RPI.
