IRVING, Texas – For the fourth time in five weeks, Baylor women’s basketball’s Darianna Littlepage-Buggs was named the Big 12 Freshman of the Week, the league office announced Monday.

The recognition is the final one of the season, as Littlepage-Buggs secured eight of the 17 weekly honors, etching her name into the Big 12 record book with the second-most distinctions since 2009.

Littlepage-Buggs averaged a double-double this week, sitting at 15.0 points and 10.0 rebounds per game. In Baylor’s fifth top-25 win of the season, she logged a career-high 39 minutes off the bench and finished with 19 points and 13 rebounds against the 12th-ranked Texas Longhorns. The Edmond, Okla., native reached double figures for the sixth-straight game with an 11-point outpouring against West Virginia, grabbing a team-high seven rebounds.

Baylor enters the Phillips 66 Big 12 Women’s Basketball Championship as the No. 6 seed and will face No. 3-seeded Iowa State on Friday at 7:30 p.m. at Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City. The game is available for streaming via Big 12 Now on ESPN+.
