Baylor Volleyball Announces Spring Exhibition Schedule

March 9, 2023

WACO, Texas – Baylor volleyball head coach Ryan McGuyre has announced the program’s spring exhibition schedule, released Wednesday.

The Bears will host two matches at home and play two on the road with one neutral-site match.

BU starts off the schedule on the road at Texas, facing the Longhorns on April 5 in Austin.

Baylor will host two matches at home, starting with an April 13 midweek match against the pro team, Athletes Unlimited, as part of its 2023 Volleyball Exhibition Tour. AU will face six teams before it comes to Waco and will face two after.

The second home match will be April 15 when the Bears host Texas A&M.

On April 22, BU will face SMU and then TCU, both in Dallas in SMU’s Moody Arena. There, the Bears will take on both of McGuyre's previous associate head coaches who now are the head coaches of the respective teams - Sam Erger with SMU and Jason Williams with TCU.

The Bears welcomed three mid-year players in January, including junior transfer Manuela Bibinbe and freshmen Joya Screen and Kyndal Stowers.

The 2023 fall season will be the eighth with the Bears and 22nd in the career of head coach Ryan McGuyre, who is joined on staff by associate head coach Joshua Walker, assistant coach Yajaira Cadet, volunteer assistant Connor Payne and technical coordinator Will McDonald.
