Andrews Tabbed WBCA All-America Regional Finalist
ATLANTA – Baylor women’s basketball’s Sarah Andrews has been named a regional finalist for the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Division I Coaches’ All-America team.
The Irving, Texas, native is one of 52 women’s basketball players mentioned as regional finalists and joins nine others on the Region 3 list.
In games against AP Top 25 teams this season, Andrews averaged 16.9 points per game in nearly 39 minutes of action. After landing a spot on the All-Big 12 Second Team last season, Andrews played her way onto the 11-person first team this year. She reached double-figure scoring in 15 of 18 Big 12 games with 20-plus point performances in six of those contests with a career-best 30-point outpouring in a top-25 win on the road at Oklahoma. With her selection, Baylor has had representation on the All-Big 12 First Team every year since 2004.
The 2023 WBCA NCAA Division I Coaches’ All-America teams will be announced later this month.
