Baylor's Davion Hall is looking for a breakout season as a senior under the direction of Phil Snow at the safety position. The former Army All-American has a world of potential, but can he put it together in his final season?
Safety, Davion Hall (6-2, 215) | Liberty Eylau (TX) High School
— As a former receiver Hall's ball skills will be excellent as a safety. I know there was always concerns with his hands, but I promise you they wouldn't have been as much of an issue with more targets and reps within the offense.
— There is a reason he played for Baylor and played a lot on the offensive side of the ball early in his career. He was dependable mentally and wasn't afraid to be a physical blocker. Phil Snow needs players at safety who he can trust to make the calls needed. Hall is listed as a starter for a reason.
— My biggest concern with Hall will how he stays healthy. Dating back to his senior year of high school there has never been an instance when he wasn't at least a little banged up. That's not a knock against Hall but more about bringing a misfortune to the front. If he can stay healthy, with his size and athletic ability, I believe Snow can turn him into an NFL safety.
— If you've ever met Davion you will know this: He isn't going to say much, but you know immediately how loyal and, for a lack of a better phrase, how sweet of a heart he really a has. As a leader in the locker room and on the field, he is ideal for this team. He will be a guy who has all of his teammate pulling for him.
