The 2023-24 season will definitely look a lot different from years past, as the incoming four programs make their Big 12 debut. On the flip side, it will also mark the final season of competing against Oklahoma and Texas as conference opponents.

Good riddance. I actually might miss Oklahoma a little bit but, NOBODY will miss Texas leaving (other than their boosters and fans who will never live long enough to see them win an SEC conference championship).

I would never say good riddance. We will miss OK and TX after watching B12 sports for many years. Let's be honest and realistic, this is a HUGE loss for B12 conference, first it's TX a&m/Mizzou, now OK/TX. We will miss the rivalries, not just football but all sports. And big money from these schools will be a big loss for B12. New schools coming in don't hold a candle to these big money/big tv/big fan bases like TX/OK/TX a&m. So Cincinnati, South FL, Houston, BYU are the replacements. Do these new schools bring excitement to Baylor fans? B12 is definitely going to look a lot different.

Onward and upward. Does no good to sit and dream of yesterday.

I am more with Dr. J on this one. I have lived with the UT arrogance for more than 50 years. And while the association with OU is much more short-lived, it is the second verse to the same song. Even when Baylor has exceeded both of these on the fields and in the arenas, their stance was, well they just had a down year. For years until they, primarily UT, had multiple years of mediocrity they treated the rest of the conference as a red-headed stepchild. UT ran off Nebraska and A&M for certain because they dared to challenge their entitlement to run the conference as they saw fit. OU was the impetus to having Baylor revenue held back because of the situation in 2015....all the while Mixon was doing his thing and the ring-leader president had more skeletons than a university anthropology class could ever imagine.

Never have understood how Baylor fans could root for these hypocrites in the light of "it helps the conference".....BS. To them, we are only worth what they can get out of us. It never worked the other way around. I have no problem competing against these characters, knowing full well that we could never come close to matching the resources and advantages they have had and will always have. But it is very hard to pay them any respect when they have none for you. I hope they both languish in the depths of the SEC. It will be nice to have them both out and we can be free from waiting to see how they next try to screw us to benefit themselves. They both thought they would blowup the conference and walk away whenever they wanted and with their pockets still full. Thankfully that arrogant belief didn't work out as they had believed it would.

Sure the conference would take in more money with them still here, but I much more prefer a family of peers than one where one or two work to any means to improve their lot...and their lot only. Texas has screwed up every conference it has been in. We don't need that crap any longer.

Good riddance?......YES.
