If they mismanage this, I can easily see this season devolving into Texas 2021, where the two compounding issues were that you had two guys in Card and Thompson who struggled to find rhythm and a coaching staff that did everything in its power to deny them that rhythm through a frustrating game of musical chairs up until the last game of the season.
The Utah game will be the hinge point. If Shapen struggles and we lose that game because of bad offense, everybody immediately starts looking at Robertson to get his feet under him in the LIU game before Texas. At that point it's a game of extremes - either we end up swapping between two underachievers or Robertson becomes The Dude.
