30 for 30: #27 Bravvion Roy
Defensive Line, Bravvion Roy (6-1, 320) | Spring (TX) High School
— When Baylor's 2016 class was dissolved last summer, Roy was one of the few who decided to stay with the Bears despite being the highest remaining prospect in the class to stick. If for nothing else, he's a member of a class that will always be remembered.
— Roy arrived at Baylor north of 330 pounds and was asked to drop weight with hopes he would become a significant contributor for his true freshman season. He did that and was getting time before an injury against Iowa State, a game in which he started, forced Roy to miss time and lose the momentum he had gained.
— Playing an end position in high school the majority of the time, Roy's transition the interior of the line was expected to take time. Now entering his second season under defensive line coach Elijah Robinson, Roy's athletic ability will be showcased more often from inside where he will be asked to get up field often.
— List as a co-starter along with junior Ira Lewis, it should be expected for the former four-star prospect to flourish in the new defensive scheme in Waco. If he can stay healthy and keep his weight down, watch for Roy to push for starting time as the season wears on.
