— Jacobs enters his junior season as a bit of a forgotten man at the defensive end position. Surgery kept him out during the spring and names like KJ Smith, Greg Roberts, Xavier Jones and Brian Nance were discussed more frequently. 

— Now listed at only 6-3 and 240 pounds, Jacobs was listed at 6-5 and 255 pounds as a sophomore. I will be surprised if Jacobs isn't closer to 6-5 than where the new roster has him listed.
