Last Monday, Dave Aranda mentioned that many Baylor fans have been telling him all off-season, “If you’re going to win one game, make it Texas.”

And it’s easy to see why fans would say so. Texas serves as an accurate boogeyman for Baylor; the gargantuan, lavishly-publicly-funded University with legions of t-shirt fans and more big-money-donors than Baylor could ever dream to have.

I always suspected Rhule threw a game or two in year 1. He played walk-ons ahead of players much better just to prove a point that he was the person in control.
