Carthage (TX) High School 2025 offensive lineman Kash Courtney‍ has committed to Baylor following his unofficial visit for Saturday’s Homecoming Game against Iowa State. He becomes commit No. 3 in the class joining Columbus QB Adam Schobel‍ and Duncanville OL Desean Bryant‍.

BAYLOR 2025 RECRUITING COMMITMENT LIST

The 6-foot-4, 265-pound prospect was offered in May and then took a Junior Day visit at the end of July which is when his interest in the program went to another level.

Kash Courtney on his Junior Day visit with Eric Mateos.

“I love Waco, I love the atmosphere, and I love the campus and the direction the football program is headed,” he said following the Junior Day event. “The coaches care about the kids, that’s a lot in itself.”

Eric Mateos has been his lead recruiter since even before he was offered but the two have continued to build on their strong relationship over the past few months and the past couple gameday visit Courtney has gone on this season.

The three-star offensive lineman was named the 2022 District 8-4A D-II All-District Offensive Newcomer of the Year.

Courtney chose Baylor over offers from Houston, UTSA, and Louisiana Tech.

I've seen him in person.

With a redishirt year he will be a better blocker what we are seeing at Baylor right now.

He has a huge upside, and a frame that will carry well over 300 Lbs without being overweight.

He will have other offers.

I'd just like to point out that we are now battling the likes of Louisiana Tech and UTSA for recruits. We won't win the Big 12 if we are recruiting American and Conference USA quality talent.

Utah State, Columbia, Liberty, Hawaii, ODU, Penn, Western Michigan - That's the offer list for our 2024 quarterback. Our future.

But hey, Grayson & the guys on the premium board say we don't have an NIL problem and everyone who transferred away wouldn't have started this season anyway (even though they are all currently starters on better teams) so I guess all is fine right?

Exactly…. Devin Neal played great for us last year and has 3 picks for Louisville already. Picked off Sam Hartman twice when they upset Notre Dame yet according to them he wouldn't start here over Devyn Bobby.

Like please don't insult my intelligence like that.

Don't **** on this man's dream. Anyone from east Texas knows he may be under thr radar. It matters to get guys from winning programs. They have an expectation to win. He also a Junior. The offers will start this Spring

Never mention the fact that our quarterback commit for this class has no other P5 offers and that his next best offer is Utah state. You will be told, "oh, you need to trust our coaches, they can evaluate and you can't. He will end up being a four-star recruit by the time signing day comes around"

I am 100% convinced that the athletic department floats the premium board cash in order to put a positive spin on all things football. They are already saying that none of our good players are going to transfer despite Aranda's cryptic comments in the press conference and the obvious fact that they'll want to go play for a winner that will pay them. However, I've been around long enough to know that if they do transfer, you will start to get articles about how the unknown back ups are secret stars and how we "didn't even want those players that didn't want to be here"

And yet we still have fans wondering why we all of a sudden can't win at the P5 level.

If true, then his verbal commitment is worth a can of air.

I have my suspicions as well whenever Walcott and snacks Johnson hit the portal there where articles coming out that our young secondary will likely out perform what we did last year which I knew was bs hard to be better after losing arguably your 3 best defenders unless your replacing that talent with 5* guys
