In The Web: What "They" are saying about Baylor in Week 11

It’s been a difficult season for Baylor and unfortunately, their schedule isn’t favorable for things to get better down the stretch. The Bears have two road games in a row starting with K-State this week and TCU next, while finishing at home against West Virginia.

The 25-24 overtime loss last week to Houston at home was brutal. Baylor had a slight resurgence in the second half, but couldn’t finish the job in crunch time. The fanbase is rightly frustrated and there are clearly some difficult conversations and decisions to be made once this season comes to an end.

For head coach Dave Aranda, the temperature of the hot seat got turned up a few notches following Saturday’s performance. Aranda was tabbed the “Biggest Loser” this week by Heartland College Sports during their Week 10 Roundtable.

As someone who truly likes and respects Aranda, it honestly sucks that things are unfolding the way they are in Waco. However, college football is a big business and everyone knows the consequences of losing on a consistent basis.

This week could honestly be the most daunting task that Baylor will have to face on the field this season. Playing in Manhattan is always challenging, but K-State is coming off a gut-wrenching overtime loss to Texas on the 40 Acres that knocked them out of the Top 25 and their roster is significantly more talented than the Bears’.

Here is an advanced stats preview of Saturday’s game courtesy of stats of war.

The numbers don’t lie, and that’s the main reason why the folks out in Vegas have the line on Saturday’s game as one of the biggest moves in the nation in favor of the Wildcats. K-State initially opened as 16-point favorites, but now that has increased to -20.5.

Kickoff between Baylor (3-6, 2-4) and K-State (6-3, 4-2) is set for 2:00 p.m. and will be streamed on ESPN+.

In the web nobody's talking about Baylor. We're irrelevant. Doubt that even KSU fan boards have much to say about this game either, they're already looking ahead, and rightly so.
