Gameday Thread: No. 21 Baylor Women's Basketball vs. No. 4 Utah

WACO, Texas – The No. 21 Baylor women’s basketball team returns to action after an eight-day hiatus on Tuesday night when it hosts No. 4 Utah at 6:30 p.m. at the Ferrell Center. 

The contest is available for streaming via Big 12 Now on ESPN+ and a live radio broadcast on ESPN Central Texas (1660 AM/92.3 FM) is also available for fans. Live in-game updates will be provided via Twitter and live stats.

Baylor's key was getting Utah's All American Pili in foul trouble right off the bat with 2 quick fouls. She has zero points and hasn't played since very early in the game.

When Edwards is under control and not trying to do too much, she is tough to stop. She and Andrews are gonna be a really good combo this year.

LBs look good on both ends, and are playing with intensity for the most part. Really good game. Crowd: looked like lots of empty seats in areas. Fan base has fallen off quite a bit.

Several things need to get cleaned up, but Bears showing a lot of promise for this year. Edwards gives us an inside aggressive presence offensively that we haven't had a in a few years. Love how she takes it right at the defender.

pretty good half. will be tougher with Pili playing this half. Defense is either really good or gives up a wide open layup. if we stop giving them freebees we can string together some stops. O looks really good when we're not chucking a 3 with 20 seconds on the shot clock. they're not that good on D so if we move the ball well we'll eventually get an open look.

On attendance: I'm here in the arena, and I was in the arena for most of the early season non-conference games during most of the Mulkey years.

The crowd here tonight is not that big of a drop off from early season non conference games (even big ones) during Mullkey years.

What are your thoughts on Pili's offense? Seems like she really uses her body well with a soft touch around the basket.
