With Blake Shapen’s departure for Mississippi State, Baylor needed a quarterback in a bad way entering the 2024 season where so much is on the line for Dave Aranda and the Baylor football program. Sawyer Robertson, last year’s portal addition, is a great prospect for Jake Spavital’s new offensive scheme, but the overall quarterback room was not up to standard for a high-level program.
