WACO, Texas – The Baylor women’s basketball team remains home to host Kansas in its annual Play4Kay game on Wednesday.

Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. and the game is available for streaming via the Big 12 Now on ESPN+. A live radio broadcast will be available on ESPN Central Texas (1660 AM/92.3 FM) and live in-game updates will be provided via Twitter and live stats.

STARTING FIVE

Baylor won its 29th-consecutive meeting with Texas Tech on Sunday with the last loss coming on Feb. 19, 2011, the only TTU win in the series dating back to 2006-07.

Baylor has lost just two games to Kansas at home in program history, sitting at 19-2, and the Bears haven’t lost at home to the Jayhawks since Jan. 19, 2000.

The Bears are 17-2 this season when leading at halftime and 62-6 in the Nicki Collen era.

The Bears are 15-1 when outrebounding their opponent, including a 7-1 mark in league play. Aijha Blackwell has led the Bears in rebounding 11 times this season. She has finished in double figures on the glass in nine contests and seven times in Big 12 action.

Of the nine Lady Raiders that saw action in Sunday’s game, not a single one of them reached double figures marking the first time since last season’s season conference opener that a BU opponent had zero players in double figures.

SCOUTING THE SERIES WITH KANSAS

Baylor leads the all-time series, 39-9, and are 19-2 at home against the Jayhawks. Prior to the Jayhawks’ win in Lawrence on Jan. 10, BU had won the previous 19 meetings between the two programs. Baylor has lost just two games to Kansas at home, and the Bears haven’t lost at home to the Jayhawks since Jan. 19, 2000.

Despite the 87-66 setback on Jan. 10, three Bears finished in double figures led by Darianna Littlepage-Buggs’ 16 points and perfect 6-for-6 outing from the charity stripe. Aijha Blackwell led BU on the glass, grabbing 11 boards for her four double-digit rebound performance of the season.

I'll take any win, but we didn't cover the spread!! We need better play! This was an unranked team! WV at their court might be a different outcome!! Hope Bella Is Okay.!!
"This was an unranked team".............that had the same conference record as us........that has a good 6'6".......returned 4 starters from the WNIT champion from last year.......and was predicted to finish 3rd in the conference. Yeah, a pushover.

Yes, they should be! They'd killed us the first time! Kansas isn't a great team! They had the same conference record as us! We aren't a great team! Add the 2 game points together and they out scored us!! Yet a 1-1, overall !!

In all fairness, based on Bracketology they aren't an NCAA tournament team.
