Baylor Football Announces 2025-26 Matchups with SMU
WACO, Texas -- Baylor football has added a pair of non-conference matchups with SMU for the 2025 and 2026 season, it was announced on Tuesday.
The Bears will travel to face SMU on Sept. 6, 2025, and the Mustangs will return the trip to Waco, with Baylor hosting on Sept. 19, 2026 at McLane Stadium. In each of those seasons, Baylor will play 11 power-4 conference foes.
The 2025 schedule will feature a season lid-lifter on Aug. 30 vs. Auburn at McLane Stadium. Conference home games will include (listed alphabetically) Arizona State, Houston, Kansas State, UCF and Utah, and road Big 12 games will include Arizona, Cincinnati, Oklahoma State and TCU.
In 2026, the Bears will travel to Auburn on Sept. 5, in addition to the clash with the Mustangs. In Big 12 home games, BU will host Colorado, Iowa State, TCU and Texas Tech in 2026 and on the road, Baylor will face Arizona State, BYU, Kansas, Houston and UCF.
One remaining non-conference game has yet to be scheduled for both 2025 and 2026.
Baylor will open its 2024 season on Aug. 31, hosting Tarleton at McLane Stadium.
