Finn seems more talented but who knows maybe Robertson is practicing very well.

Wait, think I've seen a similar movie before except the QB that led us to a Big 12 championship, followed by a Sugar Bowl win, was politely shown the door. Been a dumpster fire ever since.

In the NFL world this can be true. A world where you can add a QB not on your roster during the season after an injury knocks the first one out. In college, you better have more than one to have something if #1 goes down, and we have seen that too often in our history. It can work, the Carlson-Muecke combo worked pretty good under Grant. But the overriding consideration is the threat and likelihood of injury and no way to add one to the roster mid-season.

Actually I think this is what he is trying to avoid. Why name a starter right away when the other guy can get made, transfer and fudge up your depth

This. It's less risky to not name one now.

I get that some of you guys are old and events sometimes seem like it was yesterday to you, but can we realize that was now 40 years ago and has no relevance to modern day football at all? It would be like looking at those two guys in 1985 and making a comparison to Baylor football from the 1940s when they didn't even have face masks.

You are correct. But we still know ****ty football when we see it. Along with pumped up, overhyped expectations with no relationship to truth. Most of all, bad coaches and ****ty admins when we see them. Since we're long time Baylor fans we are f'ing connoisseurs of bad football, bad coaching and inept administrators. Trust me, we've got that in spades now.

THIS in spades! Winner, winner chicken dinner. $****y football is $****Y football... 40's, 50's, 60's 70's, 80's, 90's and especially in the late 2000's.

I remember well the Carlson-Muecke combo, and I can testify that both of them DID wear facemasks.
