Jake Spavital was hired as Baylor’s new offensive coordinator on Nov. 30, 2023.

He subsequently hired two offensive line coaches, a tight ends coach and a running backs coach. He also brought in a total of 10 transfer portal and junior college additions to help transform Baylor’s old wide zone scheme into his personal variation of the air raid.
