JJ Joe: Defense Sets a Tone in the Opener

I thought the defense was strong in their opening output.  Jackie Marshall, Treven Ma'ae, Matt Jones, Keaton Thomas, Steve Linton, Cooper Lanz and Garmon Randolph all seemed very active and physical at the point of attack.  Behind the scenes, I think there has been confidence that the defense would be much improved this year and more like the Aranda defenses he has had throughout his career.
