Next Level BU: Matt Bryant highlights Baylor alumni in Week 3
Starters
Xavien Howard, CB — Miami Dolphins
Season: 10 tk, 0 PD, 0 INT
Growing pains continue for Howard in the CB1 role as the Phins lost to the Jets on Sunday. He's currently ranked as one of the worst starting corners in the league by Pro Football Focus but isn't without his shining moments.
Terrance Williams, WR — Dallas Cowboys
Season: 13 rec (16 targets), 132 yds, 0 TD
A step in the direction from the last week but it's not hard to beat a one catch outing. T-Will had four grabs for 47 yards and is the leading receiver on the team. Dez Bryant has been a more popular target with 27 targets from Dak Prescott but Williams still has more receptions with a 40 percent better catch rate.
Kendall Wright, WR — Chicago Bears
Season: 10 rec (14 targets), 103 yds, 0 TD
Mike Glennon completed just one pass to a receiver this week and it wasn't to Wright, he never even targeted his No. 1 receiver against the Steelers. Rough day but there's literally nowhere to go but up.
Jon Weeks, LS — Houston Texans
Season: 3 starts
Matt Bryant, K — Atlanta Falcons
Season: 8-of-8 FG (Long: 53 yds) , 9-of-9 XP, 33 pts
Still aces this season and was particularly busy on Sunday with 12 points total to take down the Lions.
Bench
Kyle Fuller, G/C — Houston Texans
Season: 14 snaps
Only snaps this season have come in Week 2.
Andrew Billings, DT — Cincinnati Bengals
Season: 1 tk (0 TFL), 0 sk
Added just three snaps to his season total, seeing a decrease each week. Down from 13 plays in the opener to 11 to three.
Spencer Drango, LG — Cleveland Browns
Season: N/A
Still hasn't had to step on the field.
Bryce Hager, LB — Los Angeles Rams
Season: 1 tk (0 TFL), 0 sk
Another day without any snaps for Hager despite the Rams defense being incredibly busy in a Thursday night shootout with the 49ers. Wade Phillips' defense isn't performing as well as hoped changing to a 3-4 but there's no sign Hager will come in to replace their moneybackers in the middle.
Bryce Petty, QB — New York Jets
Season: N/A
Don't look now, but the Jets won a game. Josh McCown's job is still safe after completing nearly 80 percent of his passes without an interception. He's sitting at 3 TDs and 0 turnovers the past couple games, making Petty's role as the clipboard holder secure for a little longer.
Injured
Corey Coleman, WR (hand) — Cleveland Browns
Season: 6 rec (13 targets), 62 yds, 1 TD
Sitting on the injured reserve with a broken hand for the second consecutive year.
Rico Gathers, TE (concussion) — Dallas Cowboys
Concussion has Gathers on the injured reserve, unable to play until at least Week 7.
Demetri Goodson, CB (knee)— Green Bay Packers
On the PUP list expected back no sooner than Week 7.
Phil Taylor, DT (quad) — Washington Redskins
Third year Taylor won't play, this time thanks to a season-ending injury in the preseason.
Practice Squad
Orion Stewart, S — Buffalo Bills
Looking for Employment — (Last Team)
KD Cannon, WR — Los Angeles Rams
Ryan Reid, CB — Los Angeles Chargers
Ish Zamora, WR — Oakland Raiders
Jarrell Broxton, G — Baltimore Ravens
Antwan Goodley, WR — Kansas City Chiefs
Cyril Richardson, G — Chicago Bears
