No. 18 Baylor Volleyball Meets No. 23 BYU for Midweek
PROVO, Utah – No. 18 Baylor volleyball faces No. 23 BYU on Wednesday in Provo for its sixth ranked matchup of the season, first serve set for 8 p.m. CT at Smith Fieldhouse.
The Bears (10-4, 2-1) and Cougars (9-5, 2-2) have only met twice previously, the last in Provo in 2023. BYU won that first Big 12 meeting, 3-0.
BU comes off a 3-1 loss to then-No. 22 TCU on Sunday to play two matches in Utah. The Cougars have lost two-straight, falling to Arizona (3-2) and then-No. 15 Arizona State (3-0).
Baylor is 104-45 in Big 12 matches under head coach Ryan McGuyre and have raked in 230 Big 12 wins overall since 1996.
Leading the way for the Bears through 14 matches are senior outside hitter Elise McGhee (161 kills, 22 aces), senior libero Lauren Briseño (219 digs), graduate transfer setter Jackie Barrett Frazier (401 assists) and senior middle blocker Manuela Bibinbe (45 blocks).
The match will be broadcast on FS1 at 8 p.m. CT, with Elise Woodward and Anna Connelly on the call. Live stats will be available at BaylorStats.com, with a full recap and final box score uploaded to BaylorBears.com after the conclusion of the match.
Completing the two-match road swing, the Bears will face Utah at 2 p.m. CT on Saturday at Jon M. Huntsman Center in Salt Lake City.
