I'm glad we won today. That said, one great game does not change my overall viewpoint. We've had a long period of below par play, so it'll take a lot more winning to sway a lot of us. That said, I'm happy for the players. It's got to mean a lot to them to play a complete game.

This team is MUCH better than the record. Bowl game seems definitely in rBowl game is definitely in reach. But you are what your record says you are. And this team is likely, at best, a six- or seven-win team.

We're capable of looking better than that in stretches, but tonight was the first complete game we've played in almost two years. Can we do that again?

Hey I'm 100% skeptical too, but ya never know. 2012 looked very bleak at some points and then a spark was found.

He should switch to receiver. Dude is insanely fast
If he wants to play at the next level, he needs to change over quickly to get a running start

Is there any chance between Aranda and Spav they've actually thought about that? Hopefully they have a spy on this board and it's relayed back to them.

I'm sure they would disregard anything that they themselves havent come up with. Its a closed circuit

I've been pretty vocal in my skepticism of this team and especially the coaching staff. But our remaining schedule is really, really weak. There are a lot of winnable games on that slate, and we finally showed tonight we're capable of playing at the level necessary to turn those games into victories.

For me, it's a week-by-week proposition. Tonight's win earned us another meaningful week. If we mess our pants against Oklahoma State, I'll be right back to doubting Dave's ability to turn this season into anything but a failure. But if we win that game, we have a real chance to build some serious momentum.

This Tech game was a lot like the Colorado game IMO. It was a pivotal game that allows us to build some momentum if we can use it. The Colorado game brought negative momentum. I'm hoping this will do the opposite -- and energize the team and fan base for the stretch run.

Wonder if we can make a deal with the BoD? We all support and praise the Bears this year and we win them all, as long as they can Aranda at the end of the year... the two year NIL fiasco and paying Fin 3/4 mil this year should cement that, regardless of what Aranda does

All I'm saying is this is the kind of win that can change the trajectory of a season. We saw it in 2012 with the K-State win.

This is the type of victory that can convince a mediocre team that it's good. And teams play better when they think they're good.

And Oklahoma State is extremely vulnerable after Friday's loss. That was every bit as gut-wrenching as our loss at Colorado. We need to be prepared to break their will early next Saturday. Come out ready to play and put it on them.

Point well made but the 2012 team was not mediocre late in the season. Also, I font think anyone will compare the 2024 team to the 2012 team. However, I'm sure you are talking about the season dynamics and that is spot on. This victory clearly has the potential to fuel momentum towards a bowl game.

Yes, we have lost 4 games but all were against ranked teams and all but one were competitive. I don't expect us to win out but every game is winnable. We have already played the toughest games on our schedule.

The 2012 team was worse than mediocre until that K-State game. We were 4-5 (1-5 in Big 12) and allowing almost 40 points per game to that point. We had been blown out by mediocre teams from TCU and Iowa State our fans were reeling. That game completely changed our narrative/trajectory.

Hopefully today's win will do the same for this team.

That's why I said "late in the season"

Baylor played lights out in that K State game.

Which refutes nothing that I said. Confidence can turn mediocre teams into really good ones. We're seeing that in our own conference now with BYU and Iowa State.

We've seen in ourselves with our 2019 and 2021 teams.

When there was about a minute left in the game they showed a shot of Dave on the sidelines getting on to the D. That was good to see him still coaching hard with the game in hand.

We don't have that level of depth unfortunately. Our No. 2 defense is dreadful.

Not very often you see holding in the D Line. I hate Lubbock

You never see that called. Especially on a run play. Absurd.
Can someone explain this? I am not like a professional or anything, but I've watched a lot of football, and I can NEVER remember seeing defensive holding called on a running play.

The replay they showed on TV didn't help either.

I assume if the OL is trying to disengage from the block and is being held from doing so....

Nice win for the Bears. Beat game since OU in Norman. Refs were terrible but we played so well it didn't make a difference. Nice job Aranda. Keep it up
