WACO, Texas – Baylor men’s tennis head coach Michael Woodson announced Thursday evening the signing of Blake Anderson, an incoming freshman from Prosper, Texas. Anderson is rated as a five-star recruit by Tennis Recruiting Network. This marks the second five-star addition that Woodson has added as part of his 2025 Signing Class.

“We’re thrilled to be adding Blake Anderson to a strong roster of returners for the 2025-26 season. Blake has consistently been at the top of Texas and American junior tennis. He brings considerable experience and skill on the doubles court, strong work ethic & love for the game, and history of academic achievement that will immediately translate and add great value to our team.”

Rated as the No. 1 recruit out of Texas, Anderson heads to Waco as a three-time state finalist. In Anderson’s four-year high school career, he has never lost a fall match play at No. 1.

In his junior pro career, Anderson earned the 2024 ITF J30 McKinney singles title and was a finalist at the J30 McKinney Level 2 tournament in singles. Anderson also came out victorious at the 2024 Grapevine Classic in doubles. Anderson has also competed in the USTA Battle of the Sections at No. 1 for the past two years.

Anderson is currently rated as the No. 3 recruit in Gulf States and No. 42 recruit in the nation.

Anderson is the son of Eric and Stacey Anderson. The Prosper, Texas native will join the Bears in the fall of 2025.
