I know. I know. The portal is here to stay, and loyalty to a program means little to nothing anymore. To me the problem at the end of the regular season, is hurting your team right before they are about to go bowling. If the team is staying home, I understand the motivation to move on, but to do it just before the team has a chance to top off a positive effort by going to a bowl (which is ALWAYS a goal for a "team") hamstrings your team's efforts.

Not suggesting the NCAA not allow a portal, or NIL, or any other of the perks an athlete has today.. BUT ... they could not allow portal entries in December ... just for this reason. After that ... portal till your hearts content.

Bowls used to be fun, but now it is too much of a battle between two teams trying to put together a team to play after they had a good run and won the chance to go bowling. A game of the walking wounded.
