Auburn quarterback Walker White has committed to Baylor following his official visit last week, according to a post on his Instagram. He has four years of eligibility remaining and will begin his career at Baylor as a backup to rising redshirt senior Sawyer Robertson.
White was a consensus four-star prospect and top 100 recruit in the 2024 class. 247Sports had him rated as the No. 41 prospect in the nation and the No. 5 quarterback in the class.
Baylor has only landed five top-50 high school prospects since 2000; White would be the sixth. He is also the highest-rated high school quarterback prospect Baylor has ever landed, only behind Jarrett Stidham.
During his high school career, White threw for 6,740 yards with 80 touchdowns and 26 interceptions while competing 56.7% of his passes. He also added 1,842 yards and 30 touchdowns on the ground.
During his high school recruitment, he received offers from Alabama, Clemson, Florida, LSU, Miami, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Pitt, TCU and Texas A&M, among others.
Former Baylor quarterbacks coach Shawn Bell made him a priority in the class, but White ultimately chose Auburn over Clemson and Baylor.
The 6-foot-3, 225-pound prospect redshirted this past season but saw some action in a win over UL-Monroe, completing two passes for 18 yards.
Baylor currently has three quarterbacks on scholarship: redshirt senior Sawyer Robertson, redshirt freshman Nate Bennett and true freshman Edward Griffin.
