HOUSTON – In the first meeting between the two schools since 1985, Baylor (8-5) fell 44-31 to LSU (9-4) in the Texas Bowl on Tuesday afternoon at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas.

I don't think you are telling him anything he wouldn't disagree with you on here.

But actually we only started down 14, although we did get to 21 down at 28-7, but we did get it to 7-14 before it ballooned. We started down to BYU 21. In the LSU game the flukish play was the pick 6 off Washington's hands that he should have caught. In the BYU game it was the blocked field goal for a TD. The disappointing thing in both games was that we got back to where the game could still have been won, but we just couldn't finish. (Oh, BTW, he knows that too, so you don't need to send him a note on that.)

The blocked FG was Utah, not BYU.

But I'll outline the parallels between the BYU game and the Texas Bowl in a separate thread.
