The Dallas Wings selected Baylor’s Aaronette Vonleh with the 31st overall pick in the third round of Monday’s WNBA Draft in New York City.
In her lone season in Waco after transferring from Colorado, Vonleh led the Bears with 14.9 points per game and started all 36 contests. She also averaged 5.8 rebounds and shot a team-high 58% from the field per game. The Oregon native earned Second Team All-Big 12 honors and was named to the Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship All-Tournament Team after multiple dominant performances, including a 37-point game against No. 21 Oklahoma State.
Vonleh becomes the fourth player to be drafted in the Nicki Collen era and is the program’s 25th overall selection and the 15th in the last 10 drafts.
