Colorado State wide receiver Louis Brown IV has signed with Baylor following his official visit last week. He joins Alabama transfer Kobe Prentice and Texas State transfer Kole Wilson as the Bears' third wide receiver addition this offseason.

TRANSFER PORTAL COMMITMENT LIST

He transferred from Colorado State to San Diego State for the 2024 season and then back to Colorado State before entering the portal on April 17, following spring practices.

The 6-foot-2, 200-pound prospect posted 620 yards and three touchdowns on 38 receptions this past season at San Diego State.

As a sophomore at Colorado State, he totaled 481 and five touchdowns.

The coaching staff targeted multiple outside wide receivers during the winter portal cycle but were unable to land one. Now, they have secured a commitment from Brown IV, who will fill the role the coaching staff wanted to address all offseason.

Brown IV played a career-high 570 snaps at outside wide receiver this past season, and his receiving numbers, production and grades all improved significantly, according to Pro Football Focus.

He has one season of eligibility remaining.

New Jersey? Saw his X post and it looked like a new uniform that he was wearing.

What I liked seeing the most in this videos was some plays where he would catch it and make someone miss. That's something we've been missing the last couple years in the guys that he is replacing. With them it was pretty much catch it and go down if not in the end zone. He also has some nice catches showing some agility and athleticism---using his body to get leverage on contested catches. Looks like a potential upgrade versus the guys he is replacing, and he is poised to see TONS of single coverage if everything goes according to plan.

I read that he was dismissed from the Colorado state team due to an off field incident?

does appear to be the deep threat receiver addition that we needed

that's possibly why we could afford him. I'm sure they did their due diligence on it given all they went through at the beginning of their terms --- Mack and Dave that is. I'm also nearly 100% sure it had nothing to do with those past issues --- Mack way way too smart for that.
