Baylor Lands East Mississippi CC Wide Receiver Michael Johnson Jr.

East Mississippi Community College wide receiver Michael Johnson Jr. has committed to Baylor following his official visit last weekend. He is eligible to enroll this summer.

He chose the Bears over offers from UNLV, Troy, USF, South Alabama and UTSA. 

The 6-foot-3, 190-pound wide receiver posted eight catches for 200 yards and three touchdowns this past season at EMCC.

Johnson Jr. attended Batesville (MS) South Panola High School and was a three-star prospect in the 2024 class per 247 Sports. He held offers from Mississippi State, Ole Miss, UAB, Middle Tennessee State, South Alabama, Tulane and Toledo, among others.

He has three years of eligibility remaining.

3 years is what i like. maybe one more OL and some secondary depth for future and were really going to be set.

Not what I call a "catch" for the roster. He's going to have to show a lot more than that.
