Baylor Left-Handed Pitchers, Jameson and Bailey, Enter Transfer Portal
Baylor baseball left-handed pitchers Carson Bailey (Fr.) and Caleb Jameson (RSo.) have entered the transfer portal, according to D1Baseball’s Transfer Tracker.
Bailey comes as no surprise after he involuntarily left the team in early May, but Jameson’s departure was a bit unexpected.
Bailey started 12 games for the Bears and was a member of the weekend rotation as a true freshman. In 53 innings of work, Bailey fanned 56 batters and limited opposing hitters to a .239 batting average against. He finished the year with a 4.89 ERA and 1.31 WHIP.
Meanwhile, Jameson was Baylor’s primary midweek starter and saw his role start to expand as the season went on. The Paris Junior College transfer made 14 appearances with seven starts and finished the season with a 5.02 ERA, 1.57 WHIP and 25:11 strikeout-to-walk ratio across 28.2 innings.
Bailey and Jameson join infielders Jack Little (RSo.) and Gavin Brzozowski (RSo.), as well as right-handed pitcher Jack Hickerson (Fr.), as the other players from the 2025 roster to enter the transfer portal.
