“It went well,” he said following his Baylor official visit. “Something that stood out was coach Dave Aranda’s emphasis on doing things the right way, and being able to win while doing it. I really enjoyed getting to know the players and coaches. They are telling me I am a priority for them. I am their top safety.”
Davis’ player host for the official visit was redshirt junior safety Michael Allen, but he also spent a ton of time with defensive back Carl Williams IV, linebacker Keaton Thomas and wide receiver Taz Williams Jr.
As a junior, the 6-foot-3 prospect posted 973 total yards and 15 touchdowns on offense to go along with 74 tackles, six interceptions and four forced fumbles on defense.
At the Under Armour Camp this spring, he posted a 4.68 40 time, a 4.4 shuttle and a 25.6-inch vertical. He also ran two 4.5 40 times at Ohio State camp this spring.
Davis is a consensus three-star prospect, with his highest ranking coming from 247 Sports, which lists him as the No. 70 recruit in the state of Texas.
