Baylor redshirt senior tight end Michael Trigg was at practice Tuesday, but was in a gold non-contact jersey, SicEm365’s Levi Caraway noted ahead of the regularly schedule media availability.

Trigg was seen catching passes Tuesday just two days after suffering a shoulder bruise against No. 17 SMU. Head coach Dave Aranda said Monday that Trigg’s injury is not season ending.

Trigg caught four passes for 38 yards in the first half against SMU before leaving with an injury.

Run him out a few plays, maybe a quick catch or two and then rest.

I would just sit him entirely. He's not going to forget his routes or how to catch a ball. Since this is a recurring injury, just let it heal. Hope he's been in a red jersey all week for practice too

Totally agree. If we aren't able to handily beat an opponent like Samford at home without Trigg we've got a lot more serious problems than previously realized.

We are playing Samford this week.. they'll be an Alaskan JV squad playing Southlake Carroll. He needs to rest- we have a huge game the week after that we need him 100% ready for

Keep him ready in case Samford turns into Libetrty.

Never take things for granted.

Samford got rolled by CItadel last week at home 40-13. If we cant handle them with only our 2-3rd teams then we got serious problems.

Starting to worry Trigg is just one of those guys who is kept from greatness due to injury.

He missed extended time at USC with injuries.
He missed extended time at Ole Miss with injuries.
He's been here two years and has been injured and missed time both years.

Rest Trigg, rest Marshall, rest anyone we need at 100% for ASU

This is a good week to work on the running game. Although Bryson is actually #5 in B12 for rush yards with 2 not great games (surprising, but he's had 45 carries already)

With any luck, can pull Sawyer at the half and just grind it.

If this is the were the old days I don't think we would just run it all the time when the backup QBs come in. This may be their only live game action all season and we need to see what we have in them. That being said, now if you put one good pass on film you get a bunch of greedy agents calling you trying to pay you to leave and play somewhere else.

I know it's dangerous to overlook an opponent and all that, but this should be a quasi BYE week.

The hallelujah goal should be for the starters to be as close to 100% as possible for Arizona State, and for Arizona State to have to fight a harder game than they expected against Texas state.
