1. Offense off to a blazing start

Baylor opened the game the way every fan wishes they would every Saturday. The run game clicked early, Sawyer hit a couple of rhythm throws, and the tempo felt sharp. It was the start this team has been begging for all year.

2. Sawyer’s gritty runs are back

It has been missing for most of the season, but today Sawyer finally used his legs again. He fought for tough yards, extended plays and gave the offense a different feel when things broke down. When he plays with that grit, the entire unit looks more dangerous.

3. We still cannot stop the run

Same story, different week. Arizona ran the ball with ease, and Baylor had no answers. Missed reads, missed fits, missed tackles. Everything you do not want to see showed up again. Until this changes, nothing else matters.

4. This team is different when Bryson Washington is healthy

Baylor’s offense instantly gains confidence when he is rolling. If he is healthy and able to take a full workload, he has to be featured. He is that important.

5. Josh Cameron did not miss a step after last week

Another strong outing from the senior leader, at least in the first half. He made tough catches, fought through contact and kept the offense moving when things stalled. His consistency is something the rest of the team desperately needs to match.

6. Caden Knighten is a beast. I hope he stays around. Same for Michael Turner Jr.

Knighten ran hard on every carry and continues to look like the future of the RB room. Turner has flashed, too. Both young guys are real players, and you hope the program hangs on to them with the way college football works now. There is real talent here.

7. It was great to see Kobe Prentice back out there

After missing time, Prentice returned and gave the offense another reliable option. His speed matters, and it showed the second he stepped on the field.

8. The offense died in the second half

Everything that worked early disappeared after halftime. Missed blocks, missed throws, stalling drives. The spark was gone, and Arizona took complete advantage. This team has yet to prove it can play four quarters.

9. Jadon Porter will be key next season

Porter keeps flashing. He is physical, runs sharp routes and looks more comfortable every week. With more reps and a full offseason, he could become the next major piece in the WR room. The tools are there.

10. Today only heightened the frustration held by many fans

The talent is obvious. Even in a tough loss, you can see what this roster could be. That might be the most frustrating part. Baylor keeps showing glimpses, and then it falls apart. The fanbase is tired, and honestly, it is hard to blame them.
