Bottom line is easy to see.. football issue is we had no defensive line and pass rush .

All this team needs is a unicorn.. a Griner... A Booker . a JuJu...it's of nice complimentary players but no stud.

What is the women's team NIL plan?

For one, this game was a "NIL game", so supposedly it meant some extra money for our players as well as Texas.

For our current roster, I don't know whether WBB had any NIL beyond the revenue share. Assuming we went with the standard 5% that most teams publicly said they were doing for WBB on revenue share, that would translate to about $900k for revenue share for our team.

Frankly, I dont' expect Texas had much more than that on revenue share since they are funding other sports as well and the revenue share is strictly capped. UCON may have more because they are a school that may be willing to shift more of their football money to mbb and wbb.

Where Texas and others probably outspent us this year though was on external NIL, which was essentially unrestricted as Cody Campbell showed for football, BYU and others showed for mbb. I'm sure Texas, TCU and others have big donors who are willing to spend big to support wbb. To my knowledge, Baylor does not currently have any alums with the means and willingness to do so. The challenge for ADDM will be to find ways that the University can generate that external NIL for football, mbb, wbb, and maybe a few other sports.
