Baylor is working toward a hire of Coastal Carolina defensive line coach Jacori Greer for the same position, SicEm365 has learned.
Greer spent the 2025 season at Coastal Carolina as the defensive run-game coordinator and D-line coach, and has extensive experience coaching defensive fronts across the South, including stops at Louisiana Tech, Texas State, and Abilene Christian. He’s a Texas native with deep regional ties.
Along with his connections to Texas, his biggest selling points are development and results. At Louisiana Tech, Greer was part of a massive defensive turnaround, helping the Bulldogs jump from 110th to 12th nationally in total defense in one season, with similar leaps in scoring and rushing defense.
Earlier at ACU, his defensive lines consistently produced sacks and All-Conference players, including a unit that ranked in the top 10 nationally in sacks in 2019.
Greer played collegiately at New Mexico; he earned All–Mountain West Honorable Mention honors in 2012, and went on to serve as a team captain during his senior year.
