Baylor Adds Ball-Hawking Corner Stilton McKelvey from New Mexico State
Baylor has landed its second commitment of the 2026 transfer portal cycle in the form of New Mexico State cornerback Stilton McKelvey; On3’s Pete Nakos first broke the news.
McKelvey played in 10 games this year for the Aggies, totaling 319 snaps, 18 tackles, two tackles for loss, five pass break-ups and an interception. He had a below-average coverage grade of 63.7, according to Pro Football Focus, but forced the second-lowest passer rating (57.6) in Conference-USA when targeted.
Prior to his lone season in Las Cruces, he spent two years at New Mexico Military Institute, earning Second-Team All-American honors in 2024 after leading NJCAA Division I with seven interceptions; he also tallied three pass breakups and 41 tackles.
Assuming that his two years at junior college don’t count toward his NCAA eligibility, the Houston, Texas, native would have three seasons left to play, despite technically being a rising redshirt junior.
