Cedar Park Linebacker Jahiem Porter Commits to Baylor

Cedar Park 2026 linebacker Jahiem Porter‍ has committed to Baylor just one day after earning an offer from the staff. He becomes commit No. 13 and the second linebacker in the 2026 recruiting class.

Baylor defensive coordinator Joe Klanderman called to extend the offer to him as he became the first high school prospect the new coordinator has offered since arriving in Waco.

“I’m shaking, this is surreal,” Porter said after receiving the offer. “But he said he thought I was a great player and gave me the opportunity to come play for Baylor.”

The District 8 5A Defensive MVP posted 103 tackles, 15 for loss, two sacks and six pass breakups this season.

“This is so special for me, not just for m,e though, my family too,” he said. “It’s life-changing.”
