Mississippi Gulf Coast CC linebacker Kaleb Arterberry has signed with Baylor and is expected to enroll for the spring semester. He chose the Bears over Kansas State in a head-to-head battle
“Coach Jamar Chaney kept it real with me, and I can feel a connection between him and me,” he said. “I also got a chance to speak with the DC (Joe Klanderman) the other day, and talking with him just helped with my decision more. I also just love the relationship they have with God, and that’s a big deal to me because we all need him around.”
The 6-foot-3, 241-pound prospect posted 61 tackles and two sacks as he earned All-MACCC South Honorable Mention in 10 games this season with the Bulldogs.
The Pearl (MS) High School product was a three-star prospect in the 2025 recruiting class. Over his final two seasons in high school, he posted 188 tackles, 53 for loss, five sacks and four forced fumbles.
Arterberry has positional versatility but is going to start off as a MIKE linebacker in Baylor’s defense. He should have three years of eligibility remaining, but depending on how junior college eligibility is viewed by the NCAA, he could have as many as four years left to play.
