WACO, Texas – No. 18 Baylor women’s basketball (24-6, 13-4) kept its Big 12 Regular Season Championship hopes alive with a dominant 80-54 Senior Day win over Kansas State (15-15, 8-9) on Monday night at Foster Pavilion.

Guard Taliah Scott (RSo.) led the Bears with 20 points on 6-of-12 shooting, while forward Bella Fontleroy (Sr.) chipped in 16 points on 4-of-7 shooting from 3-point range. Forward Darianna Littlepage-Buggs (Sr.) recorded a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds.

Baylor was on fire from deep in the victory, shooting 50% (13-26) from beyond the arc and 52% (30-57) from the floor. The Bears dominated K-State on the glass, 43-to-29, and had seven second-chance points.

Head coach Nicki Collen’s squad held a 35-26 lead at halftime but dominated the final two periods, outscoring the Wildcats 48-28. Guard Jana Van Gytenbeek (6Sr.) dished out eight assists in the victory.

The No. 18 Bears (24-6, 13-4) will travel to Fort Worth to face the rival No. 11 TCU Horned Frogs (25-4, 13-3) for a chance at the Big 12 Regular Season Title. Tipoff on Sunday, March 1, is slated for 3 p.m. The game will be televised on ESPN.
