Athlon Sports: Brewer among Big 12's Top 10 Heisman Candidates
Athlon Sports: Baylor set for big upset in 2018 | Brewer set for breakout season | Mims a top 10 WR nationally | Rhule ranked against national coaches
Allen Kenney of Athlon Sports ranked the top 10 Heisman candidates in the Big 12 for the 2018 season and Baylor quarterback Charlie Brewer checked in as the lone Bear on the list. Players from Oklahoma, Iowa State, West Virginia, TCU, Oklahoma State and Texas were also listed.

Here is what Kenney had to say about Baylor's sophomore quarterback:
8. Charlie Brewer, QB, Baylor
The Bears won only a single game in 2017 but the program was much more competitive on the field once Brewer took over at quarterback midway through the year, completing 68 percent of his passes for 11 touchdowns and only four picks. If he can maintain a high level of play over a full season at Baylor and lead the Bears to a big surge in terms of wins, Brewer will turn enough heads to garner votes.
The entire list looked as follows:
10. CeeDee Lamb, WR, Oklahoma
9. David Montgomery, RB, Iowa State
8. Charlie Brewer, QB, Baylor
7. David Sills, WR, West Virginia
6. KaVontae Turpin, WR/KR, TCU
5. Rodney Anderson, RB, Oklahoma
4. Justice Hill, RB, Oklahoma State
3. Sam Ehlinger, QB, Texas
2. Kyler Murray, QB, Oklahoma
1. Will Grier, QB, West Virginia
