Best Defense to Match with an Explosive Offense?

I’m curious to hear your thoughts on the effect that it has on a defense to play a high tempo offense. We’ve definitely seen that with Texas this year.  Their offense has really improved but their defense has given up 47, 50, 49 and 45 against their power 5 opponents (ND, Cal, OSU, OU).
